ಶ್ರೀ ಭಾರ್ಗವ ಮುನಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠ ವಾದ ವಿಷ್ಣುಮೂರ್ತಿ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಶಿರ್ವದ ಗ್ರಾಮದೇವರು. ಇದು ಜಾರಂದಾಯನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್‌ ನಷ್ಟು ದೂರವಿದೆ. ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಅರ್ಧ ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್‌ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಬೆಟ್ಟು ಮನೆ ಇದೆ. ಇದು ಉಡುಪಿ ಹಾಗೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಾತನ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ಬಂಟ ಮನೆತನ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಅದ್ಭು: ತ ಕಲೆಗಳು ಬಹಳ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ ಷ್ಚ್ಯಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮನೆತನದ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿ ಸಿದೆ.ಇಂತಹ ಅಭೂತಪೂರ್ವ ಇತಿಹಾಸವುಳ್ಳ ನಡಿಬೆಟ್ಟುವಿನ ದೊಂಪದ ಬಲಿ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಚಿತ್ರಿ ಕರಣ ತಂಡದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಗೂಡುವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಹೀಗೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಭೂಲೋಕಕೆ ಕಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೈವಗಳು ತುಳುನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆನಿಂತಿವೆ. ಸೀತಾ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಘಟ್ಟದ ತಟ್ಟಿಯವರಗಿನ ತುಳುನಾಡ ವೈಭವದಲ್ಲಿ ದೈವಗಳ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್‌ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಗಗ್ಗರದ ಮೇ ತಿಂಗಳವರೆಗೆ ತುಳುನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಂತೂ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿ ಒಂದೊಂದು. ದೈವಕ್ಕೂ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಪಾಡ್ದನ ಪೌರಾಣಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣ ಬಣ್ಣ ಅಲಂಕಾರ ಕಟ್ಟು ಕಟ್ಟಲೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜನಮಾನಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಜನರಿಂದ ಪೂಜಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಾಸ್ತಿಕರನ್ನೂ ಆಸ್ತಿಕರನ್ನಾಗಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
