Kalabhi Art Organization is thrilled to announce the “Kalabhi Theatre Express”, an innovative repertory production project aimed at bringing the vibrant world of theatre to schools across the region. This exciting initiative will involve four professional artists visiting schools to perform engaging plays and conduct interactive workshops. The goal is to inspire students to connect with and appreciate traditional art forms, enhancing their educational experience....The New Education Policy (NEP) emphasizes the importance of making education holistic, integrated, enjoyable, and engaging. Specifically, section 4.6 of the NEP highlights the need for experiential learning through arts-integrated education and storytelling-based pedagogy. Despite this emphasis, there is often a noticeable lack of professional arts instruction in schools. The Kalabhi Theatre Express aims to bridge this gap by offering students the opportunity to learn directly from experienced artists. This interaction will not only boost their confidence and creativity but also ignite a passion for the arts. To support this initiative, we expect a modest contribution to cover the expenses related to artists' travel, set creation, and dedication of time and expertise. This support is crucial to ensure the successful execution of our project and the enrichment of students' learning experiences Furthermore, we are proud to be associated with the Kudla Art Festival, which shares our vision of promoting the culture and arts of Mangalore. Together, we are committed to nurturing the artistic spirit and cultural heritage of our community.
