In line with the saying "The saplings of today become the forest of tomorrow," to instill the greatness and necessity of theatre in the minds of today's children, a 10-day theatre camp called "Aralu 2024" was organized. Approximately 30 children, two directors, six assistant directors, and Kalabhi Theatre (R.) Mangalore took full responsibility for this event,
... which was commenced from April 11, 2024. In this 10 days workshop ,along with the preparation of plays , many theatre artists joined us as resource persons where they shared their experiences as an artist, taught Ranga Sangeetha and talked about the theatre. Children thoroughly enjoyed all the sessions ̤ The camp organized jointly by Kalabhi (R.) Mangalore and Canara Cultural Academy, which started on April 11, 2024, culminated successfully on April 21, 2024, at the Canara Pre-University College open-air theatre in Mangalore, with a grand closing ceremony. The program started with ‘Ranga Sangeetha’ performed by the children, directors, and assistant directors involved in the camp. The program continued with the formal program and Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Ujwal U.V. The program concluded with the children performing two plays: "Hakki Haadu" directed by Mr. Raju Manipal and "Kapata Sanyaasi Maarjaala Matthu Mooshaka Kula" directed by Mr. Ramesh K. The 30 participating children, with the guidance of directors, presented these plays to an appreciative audience. Both plays were executed brilliantly, efforts of the camp's organizer Mr. Ujwal U.V., the camp director Mr. Bhuvan Manipal, assistant directors, and hard work of the entire team made “Aralu 2024” successful. Aralu is a small effort to blossom the knowledge of the true nature and excellence of theatre in the minds of children.
ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಸಿರಿ ಮೊಳಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಈಗಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿಯ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲೆಂದು, ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿ ಸತತ ೧೦ ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ರಂಗ ಚಟುವಟಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ರಂಗ ಶಿಬಿರವೇ ‘ಅರಳು ೨೦೨೪’. ಸರಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೩೦ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಇಬ್ಬರು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು, ೬ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಇದರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಕಲಾಭಿ ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ (ರಿ) ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಒಗ್ಗೂಡುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ದಿನಾಂಕ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ೧೧,೨೦೨೪ ರಂದು ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿತು. ೧೦ ದಿನಗಳ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಟಕದ ತಯಾರಿಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ , ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಜಾದೂಗಾರರಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಕುದ್ರೋಳಿ ಗಣೇಶ್,ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ರಂಗ ತಂಡ ಜರ್ನಿ ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ (ರಿ.) ನ ಸದಸ್ಯರು,ಕಟೀಲು ಮೇಳದ ಕಲಾವಿದನಾಗಿರುವ ಪುನೀತ್ ಬೋಳಿಯಾರ್, ರಂಗಕರ್ಮಿಗಳಾದ ಅವಿನಾಶ್ ರೈ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಉದ್ಯಾವರ ಇವರು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿ, ರಂಗಸಂಗೀತ, ಮುಖವರ್ಣಿಕೆ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಹೀಗೆ ಕಲಾಭಿ(ರಿ.) ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆನರಾ ಕಲ್ಚರಲ್ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಯ ಜಂಟಿ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂದ ,ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ೧೧ ರಂದು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊಂಡ ”ಅರಳು ೨೦೨೪’ ಎಂಬ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿಯ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವು ‘ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನಾಟಕೋತ್ಸವ’ವಾಗಿ , ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ೨೧, ೨೦೨೪ರಂದು ಕೆನರಾ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಯಲು ರಂಗಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪನ್ನವಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು, ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅರಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಹಾಡಿದ ರಂಗ ಸಂಗೀತಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶುರುವಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ಸಭಾಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಿತು.
ಸಭಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನಾಟಕೋತ್ಸವದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಎರಡು ನಾಟಕಗಳಾದ, ರಾಜು ಮಣಿಪಾಲ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ‘ಹಾಕ್ಕಿಹಾಡು’ ಹಾಗೂ ರಮೇಶ್ ಕೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ‘ಕಪಟ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿ ಮಾರ್ಜಾಲ ಮತ್ತು ಮೂಷಕ ಕುಲ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ೩೦ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೇರಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆತ್ತವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.ಎರಡೂ ನಾಟಕಗಳು ಅದ್ಬುತವಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿತು.
ಹೀಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಉಜ್ವಲ್ ಯು.ವಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಭುವನ್ ಮಣಿಪಾಲ್ , ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪೂರ್ತಿ ತಂಡದವರ ಶ್ರಮದಿಂದಾಗಿ ‘ಅರಳು ೨೦೨೪’ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯ
