Director: Ramesh Benakal has ten years of theatre Experience.He has been working as an actor, technician and director in many prestigious theater school's and troupes.He has completed theater education at Natana rangashale of Mysore (2016-17) . Also he has got theater education at Rangayana Mysore (2020-21). He has completed masters in drama at Dr Gangubai Hanagal Music and Performance Arts University in 2023. He is more interested in directing and has directed many plays in children's theater and attracted attention. His play Halagali Bedaru won the second position in the state level competition, and currently he is active with Kalabhi (Rg) Mangaluru. About the play: A cat named Marjala and his two disciples and mice of the Mushak clan are the protagonists of this play. Marjala, who is always hungry, catches mice to fill his stomach and makes mice believe that he will accept sannyastva . One by one the rats, fooled by the hypocrite monk's words, become his food. Thus, the mice get suspicious of Marjala and when the secret is revealed, all the mice together knock out the hypocrite Marjala. This play tells the moral that one cannot survive long by lying and cheating and one or the other day truth will come out. children who participated in the Aralu 2024 workshop have acted in the play. The stage presentation of the play was brilliantly done by the director and entertained the audience.
