... Director : Rajesh CP popularly known as Raju Manipal is from Saralebettu, Manipal.He has directed Plays like Nanejjer Sude Tirgayer, Belakinedege, Hakki Haadu. Raju's plays with lighting/staging/costume design have been performed on several major platforms. He designed the lighting for the plays 'Karnabhara', 'We Teach Life Sir', 'Chitra' held in 'Bharat Rang Mahotsav', the National Drama School's festival in Delhi. and 'Valivadhe' at the Theater Olympics Similarly, 'Kamsayana', 'Makkala Tagore' and 'Rekke Kattuvira...!?', these dramas were performed under the lighting of Raju, in the 'Jashne Bachan' stage festival organized by the National School of Drama for Children's Theatre. He was awarded the "BV Karanta Ranga Prerna Yuva Award" in 2009 and the "CGK Rangapuraskar" in 2016 for his extraordinary and immense service to the theatre. Presently he has involved himself in 'Sangam Kalavider, Manipal' group as an Organiser.

About the Play: The story revolves around a mother bird, chicks and cats. The affection shown by the mother bird to the baby birds, the cunning wit of the cats, the cry of the mother bird when her baby bird was stolen by the cats, the joy of being reunited with the mother bird and so on. While birds symbolize the ancient traditional way of life, cats symbolize modernity. The stage form of this play has come out brilliantly and the children who participated in the Aralu 2024 workshop have acted in the play.
